Road users are warned not to fall prey to a syndicate attempting to operate along the N4, and from fuelling stations. The syndicate attempts to fraudulently solicit toll fees from unsuspecting motorists. They tell motorists that systems at toll plazas are out of order and that they can/should pay their toll fees prior to arrival at the said toll plaza.

Trans African Concessions warns motorists not to pay any toll fees over to anyone except at the official toll plazas – Diamond Hill, Middelburg, Machado, Nkomazi, Moamba and Maputo.

Under no circumstances will toll fees be collected at any place other than at an official toll plaza, even when the systems are down. No toll fees can be paid in advance anywhere other than at a toll plaza.
